What am I thinking about?

Baradene Prizegiving 2019

I was thrilled to be able to go back to my old school, Baradene College and speak to the girls at their Prizegiving. As I walked into the Hall, even though the building was different, seeing all the girls in uniform, I began to choke up! The photo shows me describing the feeling before i began to speak. I spoke about the 6 lessons I would tell my own self if I met her as a young woman at prize giving.

In the words of Bob Marley: everything’s gonna be alright, I probably worry a lot, am a bit anxious, ‘should I have said that’,  ‘should I take that job’, ’did I do that right’, I hear ‘should I’ and ‘did I’ in my head. & that doubter, the doubting voice can be quite tiring and anxious making.

So what have I learned that everything does turn out alright,, So worry a little less, it doesn’t help you

Yes  it’s true the world may sometimes feel like a scary place and sometimes it is!  And you may be anxious about whether you are making the right choices?

What I have learned is that when you take a chance there are no wrong choices. Everything is part of the learning experience that will shape you and make you.  And if it isn’t right you can always change the situation. Whatever you choose, everything is gonna be alright!
